Lora Al-Ahmad from Bulgaria combines rhythmic invention and unpredictable motifs into an exhilarating work for flutist. The piece was awarded the Newly Published Music Award from the NFA and should be included as part of any repertoire that strives to remain fresh.

Native American
Native American flute music is an age-old tradition passed down from generation to generation. It combines pentatonic musical scales with flute fingering techniques that combine for an original sound.
The Native American flute is a woodwind instrument made up of two parts, including a slow air chamber and sound chamber. A block on one side directs breath from the player into the slow air chamber into the sound chamber where vibration of air creates its distinctive sound signature.
Native American flutes have long been used as musical instruments by Woodland tribes, Southwestern tribes and North and South Plain tribes across North America for entertainment, prayer and healing ceremonies.
